In this week post I recommend several easy sonatinas for piano. There are a lot of pieces written in sonatina form, yet many people choose the same 3 or 4 pieces over and over. This is a pity because there is a great variety of sonatinas. All these sonatinas are written in a classical style, those that are from this century are in a form that imitates the classical period. Some examples of contemporary composers who have encompass this type of writing include:William Gillock, Nancy Faber, Martha Mier or Catherine Rollin. Bellow I have linked both free and downloadable access to sonatinas related to the blog post.
